Development advice

NL keeps learning

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment temporarily offered subsidised development advice. Everyone between the age of 18 and retirement age was applicable to register, in other words people who are (still) working, freelancers and people without current employment. Registration for the 55,000 development advice trajectories, each worth €700, started on December 1, 2020 – and closed with all places booked the very same day.

For all people who didn’t get to book a time-slot, there is good news: Coaching Amsterdam now offers a similar trajectory at a much reduced price, so you can still benefit from this opportunity!

What is development advice?

Due to the pandemic and accompanying crisis the job market is changing significantly. New jobs are being created, while lots of others vanish. This means first and foremost that it is getting even more important to keep an eye on your development and your agility on the job market.

Development advice is a short trajectory of three sessions of 1,5 hours. This takes place as a personal meeting or, potentially, as an online meeting. All on-site meetings are corona-proof! Before the first session, you will be asked to fill in a (digital) job market scan, which will map your current position on the job market. Furthermore, it will create clarity of your talents, your likes and dislikes and your attitude towards your current work situation. To fill in the entire scan will take about one hour.

Based on the results of the job market scan, we will delve into the depths together. We will examine what you have done so far, where you are at this moment, and in which direction you want to proceed. The idea is to restore your sense of direction and grip on your career. At the end of the trajectory, you will have a clear plan of action for the next steps of your career.
